The nature of our business is to confidentially assist business leaders in solving unusual issues affecting the core of their business. Therefore, we choose not to publicize the names of our private sector clients as well as any specific details that could impact their image or public reputation. We will, from time to time, describe selected projects completed for identified U.S. government-related entities, as this information will already be in the public domain.

Project Summary

3-Tier Integrated Risk Management

PO Advisory designed and developed an Integrated Risk Management program for an Independent Power Producer (IPP), interconnecting three levels of risks to the company:

  • Risks within the physical plant as managed under the Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) programs and procedures; and
  • Risks for disruptions to business processes identified and managed under a newly developed Business Continuity Management (BCM) program; and
  • Existential threats to the company as identified and managed under a newly developed Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program.

As designed by PO Advisory, the three tiers of the program exist under common management structure inclusive of program audits, change management, emergency response, and incident command.

Content of the integrated risk management program is based on collaborative input from IPP leadership, plant O&M staff, and the experience of PO Advisory team members. Program materials delivered by PO Advisory include policies, manuals, risk registers, risk matrices, and training materials. The effort included a review of all documents within the plant HSSE program.
