Project Summary
New Electric Power Plant Developoment
PO Advisory collaborated with the customer’s technical and finance departments to perform pre-feasibility studies for new electric power plants of various technologies. Options studied by the team included:
- Simple cycle gas turbine plants
- Combined cycle gas turbine plants
- Solar photovoltaic (PV) farms
- Wind turbines
Battery energy storage was also included in the work, both as supplemental to Solar PV and as stand-alone, grid-scale. The work included preparation of cost budgets, schedules, financial models, and relevant PPA terms including tariff (capacity and energy). Market input was collected and included via budgetary quotes from suppliers and contractors. The subject projects remain active in development.
