Power Plant Life Assessment

PO Advisory developed and implemented a program to identify and evaluate approaching end-of-life conditions for an aging combined cycle power plant, this to inform the feasibility of 20+ years extension to the plant’s Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). After development, the life assessment program was undertaken in collaboration with the customer’s local engineering, operations, and supply chain management teams. Results of the PO Advisory assessment, including conclusions regarding present condition of equipment and the foreseen capital spending over the 20+ years extension, were reviewed, commented, and validated by a top engineering firm before being presented to the owner-investor. The associated plant life extension is pending.
